The primary route from JFK to Manhattan follows the Van Wyck Expressway north to the Long Island Expressway (I-495), then through the Queens-Midtown Tunnel into Midtown Manhattan. An alternate route takes the Belt Parkway west to the BQE, crossing into Manhattan via the Manhattan Bridge or Brooklyn Bridge for Downtown destinations.

Along the Way

As you leave JFK, you will pass through the diverse neighborhoods of Queens before the Manhattan skyline comes into view. Crossing into Manhattan via the Midtown Tunnel or one of the East River bridges offers iconic views of the city skyline.

How the JFK pickup works

Send the flight number with the booking and the chauffeur follows the flight, so an early landing or a delay moves the pickup time automatically. Domestic arrivals are met curbside at the terminal’s ground transportation area once the group has its bags. International arrivals take longer because of passport control and customs, which is why the included wait is 60 minutes for international flights and 30 minutes for domestic ones. Meet and greet inside the terminal, with the chauffeur holding a name sign, is available on request.

Where in Manhattan

Midtown hotels and offices are the most common drop-offs, but the fare works the same for the Financial District, Chelsea, the Upper East Side or Harlem. For Downtown addresses the chauffeur may cross by the East River bridges rather than the Queens-Midtown Tunnel. Several drop-offs across Manhattan can be added to the same reservation.
