About Cruise Terminal Transportation NYC

Cruise days have a hard front end and a soft back end. Boarding has a cutoff. Disembarkation is staggered by deck, luggage tag and customs, so your group may not be at the curb when the ship docks. Book the sailing-day pickup around a firm arrival window and treat the return as its own booking with a flexible start.

Manhattan Cruise Terminal Shuttle

The Manhattan terminal uses Piers 88 and 90 on the Hudson waterfront around West 50th Street. A group from a Midtown hotel has a short ride, and groups from New Jersey usually arrive through the Lincoln Tunnel. Put the ship and pier from your cruise documents on the request. The stopping point follows the port’s traffic instructions that day, so forward anything the cruise line sent.

Brooklyn Cruise Terminal Transfers

Brooklyn’s terminal is in Red Hook, and Red Hook has no subway station of its own, which is one reason families with heavy bags book a van. Name Brooklyn on the request, because the two New York terminals get mixed up more often than you’d think. Give the full pickup address even if it’s also in Brooklyn.

Cape Liberty Bayonne Cruise Transportation

Cape Liberty is in Bayonne, New Jersey. It’s a separate trip from either New York terminal and a different route from Newark Airport. Work backward from the boarding cutoff and add a cushion for the Holland or Lincoln Tunnel if you’re starting in Manhattan. We’d rather plan an early arrival than have your group racing the gangway.

JFK and Newark to Cruise Port Transfers

A same-day flight and sailing is the tightest version of this trip. Airlines run late, bags take time and the ship won’t wait. Send the flight numbers and the boarding cutoff. We track the flight, but a van can’t recover a landing that leaves too little time. Newark is the closer airport to Cape Liberty, while JFK is a long haul to Bayonne.

Luggage for Cruise Groups

Cruise luggage is the heavy kind. Count the checked suitcases, carry-ons and anything oversized, such as a wheelchair, scooter or stroller, and send that with the headcount. A family with a suitcase each and a few extras can hit the limit long before every seat is taken. If the bags won’t fit, we’ll say so and suggest another plan.

Pricing a Private Cruise Transfer

A local transfer starts at $600. Adding a hotel stop or a long wait moves you to hourly time from $200, with a 3-hour minimum. Gratuity isn’t included, and the quote can shift with taxes, tolls and availability.

Book the sailing-day pickup and the return separately. Price the return once you know your disembarkation window. Incentive trips can use corporate billing; tell us who receives the invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which cruise terminal should I put on the reservation?
Use the terminal, ship and sailing date from your cruise documents. Manhattan, Brooklyn and Cape Liberty in Bayonne are three separate destinations with different routes.
Can you pick up the group after the cruise?
Yes. Book the return with the ship, the date, a contact number and the final destination. Send your disembarkation window as soon as the cruise line assigns it.
Will every suitcase fit?
Bag count and sizes matter as much as seats. Send both when you request the quote and we’ll confirm the layout for your date.
Can you collect guests at a hotel first?
Yes. List each hotel in order with the number boarding at each. A stop with a wait may be quoted hourly instead of as a straight transfer.
What if the ship docks late?
Call dispatch at (917) 540-3199 when the schedule moves. How long a van can wait depends on its next booking, so raise it early.
