Route & Highways
The route follows the Queens-Midtown Tunnel to the Long Island Expressway (I-495) east, then transitions to Route 27 (Sunrise Highway/Montauk Highway) as you enter the Hamptons. For North Fork destinations, we take the LIE to exits further east.

Travel Tips
Summer Friday traffic can extend travel time to 3 hours or more, especially on the LIE between exits 50-70. We recommend departing before 2 PM on Fridays or after 8 PM to avoid the worst congestion. Sunday return traffic peaks between 3 PM and 7 PM.
